Richard MITCHELSON
Founder and Managing Director
Richard Mitchelson has over eleven years experience in the commercial security sector, operating in remote and hostile environments. He has managed multi-faceted security programmes for diverse sectors ranging from projects in oil and gas exploration to United Nations field missions. He has provided support for news media teams in conflict zones as well as conducted due diligence and quality assurance on existing security programmes. Before joining the private sector, he served as a member of the New Zealand Armed Forces. During which time, Richard was trained in a range of specialist skills including tracking, counter terrorism, close protection and mountain warfare. He has operated in a diverse range of hostile environments in Africa, the Middle East, Central and East Asia. Before his career in the security sector, Richard was an automotive engineer, building special purpose vehicles.
James SAMMONS
Director of Training and Operations
James Sammons has worked in the commercial security sector for seven years. During this time, he has supported news media teams and foreign security forces in remote and hostile regions. Before joining the private sector he spent ten years in the Australian Defence Force, five of which in the Australian Special Air Service Regiment. After leaving the military, James joined the New South Wales Police Force and served with the Tactical Operations Unit of the State Protection Group for six years. James is an effective trainer who is responsible for developing most of ROCAM’s training curriculum and modules.
GOH Eck Meng
Non-executive Director
Goh Eck Meng brings over twenty years of experience in investment banking and private sector management to ROCAM International. He is currently the Managing Director of several family owned businesses with primary interests in property and investments. Prior to returning to Singapore in 2005, Eck Meng spent ten years in New York and San Francisco as an investment banker with Deutsche Bank, Dresdner Kleinwort Benson, Peregrine and Citibank. He has an MBA from University California Los Aangeles (UCLA) and BEc Hons from Monash University.
Linley SMITH
Director of ROCAM Special Vehicles Pte Ltd
Linley Smith focuses on Special Vehicles and Equipment Procurement. With his training in engineering and research in the field of tribology (the science and technology of interacting surfaces in relative motion), Linley is able to improve equipment reliability. His qualifications and extensive knowledge give ROCAM a comparative advantage when it comes to the ability to build vehicles that meet exactly our clients’ requirements.
